LIVE FREE Oklahoma is bringing neighbors together for the Pass On Violence OU vs. Texas Community Watch Party on Saturday, October 10. The free gathering will run from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Garden Oaks Community Center, 3401 NE 16th Street in Oklahoma City.

Safe spaces are part of prevention

Game-day energy can be a powerful reason for families and neighbors to connect. By pairing the rivalry with free food and drinks, music, door prizes and a welcoming community setting, LIVE FREE Oklahoma is creating a positive space where people can enjoy the day together.

The event reflects a core part of community violence intervention: strong relationships and shared experiences help build trust. Prevention is not only about responding to conflict. It is also about creating regular opportunities for connection, joy and belonging.
